Just to piggyback a bit.. I use Encore, and you can add your chapter markers there, just as easily as in Premiere. Like Glen says, you can't beat the ability to go back and forth from Encore to Photoshop for menu design. Heck, you can even easily jump to AfterEffects from Encore too, if you ever get into motion menus. If you're new to DVD authoring.... well, I wish you luck and patience, lol. Get ready to do some manual reading. Its not's hard, though, once you understand the process of setting up the dvd navigation. -Frank

Click on the Settings button right next to where you select the file type and make sure that the Chapters button is checked. BTW, you really ought to check out Adobe Encore DVD for your DVD authoring program. Encore will accept your .avi file and automatically recognize the chapter markers when you place the avi on your timeline. Then, you can use Photoshop to build a custom menu, or use the preset menus in Encore. I don't know Sonic, so I can't tell you if it will recognize the chapter markers. However, I do know that if you use the MSDV codec and import the avi into Encore, that it will recognize the markers. Oh, I almost forgot. After you put the markers on your timeline in Premiere, double-click on the markers and add a comment to the Chapter field. You HAVE to do that in order for Encore to recognize the marker as a chapter marker. Perhaps you also need to do that for MyDVD to recognize the marker, too, but I don't know.
