(June 24, 2005, Cleveland, Ohio) A Joker's Card, a parody/comedic short film based on the DC Comics universe, is the first fan-film to receive a Telly Award for Best Entertainment category under Film and Video Productions. Shot with several 3ccd digital cameras and a 16mm camera with under $6000 budget and edited entirely with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, A Joker's Card blends the campy style of the 60's superhero TV shows with the sophisticated kung fu wire-stunts of the 90's. "With brisk directing, hilarious comedy, and very clever spoofing, this is a very enjoyable tongue in cheek parody of the Batman comics..." said said Felix Vasquez Jr. at Cinema Crazed. "It's an honor to receive this award," said Johnny Wu, director/writer/producer for A Joker's Card. "The Telly is given by professionals to recognize the talent of their peers, just like the Oscars". Wu was recently featured in Arts & Entertainment for the prestigious June issue of Cleveland Magazine. Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions.
