Hi,
The camera records in MPEG format. What I do is not so
quick but it works and I've got excellent final
results:
Extract your mpeg files from your camera with the
software provided, Picture Package. I'm assuming you
have Windows XP, in thet case, take Windows Movie
Maker (it comes with the XP package), and import one
of the mpeg files that is in your hard disk. Once you
have it drop it into the timeline and then go to file,
save movie (or whatever it is called in English, mine
is in Spanish), then choose store in your PC, and when
you have to choose the format choose AVI DV (NTSC). It
will be converted and you are ready to import that AVI
file to work it in Premiere. I know somebody will say
that there are easier ways or other plug-ins, but the
ones I've tried have not worked and this way it has
(at least for me).

Good luck,

Laura
