Randall-- there should be a .vob file that is much smaller than the others.
(Usually like the last one sequentially.) Try renaming and importing the
smaller file.
The vob/mpg files are HUGE, and it takes, on a fast system, sometimes a
minute or two for Premiere Pro to fully access the file. If your computer is
lacking in available processing power, it could take even longer than a
couple of minutes.
But, perhaps you've already tried this? When you wait for it to import,
what's the longest period if time you've waited?
