Hi Julian and thanks for the input!
I didn't have the time to check. I borrowed a NTSC camera and did the 
project. What a pain!
Someone on the list asked me some time ago how long conversion took with 
Canopos Procoder. I timed it this time. It was 98% realtime.

BTW: someone mentioned that theres a splendid shop selling 8mm equipment in 
London. You wouldn't know where this is?
