I've got a situation here. We have a Decklink-based PPro system that crashes constantly during timeline operations, like trimming clips, or adding transitions. It is fairly unpredictable, but may have some relationship to the trim window function. I say this because on some of the crashes I have just seen the trim window pop up when the crash occurs. The system itself is underpowered, a P4 2.6 processor, 1 gig ram, several sata raid drive systems, and we are using a 720x486 project with uncompressed files. The software is PP 1.5.1 with Decklink 5.5.1 drivers, not the very latest but what we have. I am new to PPro this is my first project on this system with this software. Does anyone have any ideas for things I can change to make this work better?
