Hi folks.
I just joined this forum read through many messages. I must say that
there seems to be wealth of knwoledge here and friendly too. :-)
My comments/questions:
I have been shooting digital video of professional concerts (legally)
for some time and each concert is typically around 2 hours long. The
main musical sequences are often interspersed with applause and
a "spiel" from the artiste, before moving on to the next "piece".
Even after removing all of the redundant parta, I still can't get the
size of the timeline in PP2 down to much less than 1hr 50min and PP2
just won't export to DVD, despite the fact that I have a Dual Layer
burner. Not only that, it won't export as an ISO and says that it's
more than 4.7Gb when I try to export to a folder. Try as I may, I
can't export to 8.5Gb (max) format suitable for a Dual Layer DVD,
despite having the latest Nero software present.
I could remove the inter-performance parts of the clips and maybe
reduce the size to 1hr 40min, which will fit a std. DVD but I'm loath
to do this as it will detract from the performance, although I would
prefer to use 4.7Gb DVDs.
Is there a plug-in that I'm missing, or does anyone know of a
technique for further compression to allow me to export to std. DVD?
Regards,
Alan.
