Even EASIER than a card with s-video or composite connections is an A/D converter. (A/D = "Analog to Digital"). This is a little box that sits outside of your computer, accepts an analog video signal, and then sends it out via firewire. This option is preferred because a.) you don't have to futz around with hardware in your computer, b.) it requires no 3rd party drivers which otherwise tend to reduce Premiere's stability, c.) everything ends up in the DV format so it uses your existing firewire port and Premiere sees it as regular DV video which is what Premiere edits best with, d.) no rendering required since its the standard DV format that matches the DV project settings. You can't go wrong with an A/D converter. Canopus makes some GREAT ones. (www.canopuscorp.com)

That works for a digital video camera or with some external digitizer unit. Simpler for analog source to have a card that an S-Video cable or component cables can be plugged into. __________________________________________________________ Be a PS3 game guru.
