Good point, Sune. I'm not using Vista, though. I'm running XP. In 
fact, I just ordered a new laptop to run Premiere and ordered XP on 
that because I want a stable OS under laptop. A reliable friend of 
mine mentioned that speed tests on some applications have shown that 
they actually run slower on Vista than on XP. I'll see if I can find 
his references and post them here. In the meantime, has anyone 
noticed a difference between Premiere performance speed on XP 
compared to Vista?
