Just something odd to throw out there... a friend of mine suddenly had his PC 
burning coasters most of the time. He couldn't figure out why, until I pointed 
out that having loud music playing with the subwoofer in the desk directly 
under the computer might be shaking the lens in the burner more than the 
drive's focusing system could tolerate. It quit burning coasters after he 
turned his music off while burning. ;)
