Taky,

You givy great advice!

Womble rocks. I'm involved in quite a few of these online forums
(mostly powered paragliding) and this may be the single most useful
piece of advice I've EVER gotten. Thanks.

Not only does it do EXACTLY what I want, but it doesn't bog down my
poor old computer. If I could change something it would be to have it
save the newly trimmed files over the old ones but that's still a
short piece of Shift-DEL. And hard drive is no problem. Just bought 2
TERAbytes for $269 (Best Buy).

Basically, I'm back in business without having to buy a new machine yet.

clips without lowering the video quality. I have been using Womble
MPEG Editor. It's not free but quite cheap. It allows you to trim mpeg
(and m2t) files and export without loosing quality.
