Hi Richard:

Here is an "old school" way to cut back and forth.
I don't use the multi camera editing yet, so here's how I do it.

1) stack both video segments, keep the audio on different tracks too.
2) trim the "fat" off the 20 second longer track so that both are in
sync. Another way to do this is to find the flash and cut right on the
flash (Ctrl,K) and then drag that cut over the other cut so that both
tracks flash at the same time. Now check near the end of the tape to
see that you're still in sync.
3) Now for the fun part: Scale the top track to 50% and position it to
the top left of the screen, and Scale the bottom track to 50% and move
it to the right side of the screen. (Remember, I did say Old School).
3a) Or, this might also work.(temporally, reduce the opacity of the
top track to 50%) Click on the top track, effects tab, opacity, slider
to 50%).
4) Watch the movie and pause to note time codes.
5) Now chop out the best of either track 1 or 2 and drag it in pieces
up to track 3. You can reset the scale and position of just one
segment and cut and paste that "effects" over the remainder of the
track to reset it all at once to center/100%.

Now you've got an uncut copy of the best of both camera angles and it
is time to get back to "removing the boring stuff". Probably the
Mother of the Bride will want this uncut version! But you'll want to
make a 15minute high-lites reel cut to music to best show your work.
So File, New, Sequence and import the previous sequence you just made,
(nested sequence) forget the sound if you want, find some music (the
bride's favorite song) and slice and dice to the music.

Hope it helps,

PS: some of the 50% overlay where you can see 2 versions at the same
time really makes an amazing montage if used right.
