Oh yeah...I know $2000 is "peanuts". It's just all I have right now. I
really want about $100k to get STARTED well, but, oh well, that's in
another lifetime...lol...

oh...on AUDIO equipment, I have everything I need. I have my own
recording studio (I run everything from Pro Tools to vintage tape
machines), tons of live audio equipment, a massive collection of mics
and processors (everything from standard SM58s type stuff to high-end
condensors, rack gear, etc)...Not lacking anything in audio, and I've
already produced a national-level CD in Nashville, so I have access to
whatever else I may need audio-wise. What I DON'T have access to is
video equipment, nor do I have much knowledge about it.

So you say go-for-broke on the camera? What model Sony might you
suggest? Anything in the $2000 range that might also do Hi Def (or
should I not even go there?), and what about variable frame rates,
assuming this is what I need to get that 24fps "film look" (is there
no software that will do this?). My guess is a good 24fps camcorder is
gonna run me $5k-$10k though, so that may have to wait until later.
And so you're saying that "Elements" will give me all the editing
power and DVD authoring capability I'll need?

Thanks SO much for your help!
Steve
