I'm in a bit of a pickle. Our company recently was hired to do
post-production on a public affairs show produced in Washington. The
show is delivered to us on BetaSP with Closed Captioning on line 21.
I'm supposed to insert a show open, commercials, bumps, and a credit
roll at the end, and deliver finished shows on BetaSP and DVD to several
stations around the state. But, after capturing the tape using
Premiere, all the closed captioning is gone. I've been told that in the
digital realm, line 21 is ignored. Can anyone suggest a quick and
painless way I can leave the closed captioning on the finished product?
Am I going to have to skip using Premiere and just dub the tape from
Beta to Beta to make my master tape? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Glen in Vegas
