Back in the days of CS3, I also had trouble exporting back to my Canon HV20
HDV tapes. What seeeemed to work for me was deleting all the rendered
files, and letting the Media Encoder render and export from scratch. You
might try that (and, I believe you must also make sure you are exporting to
the correct camera make and model).

Also, if you were the guy asking about a later model camcorder replacement .
I bought a Canon HFS21 and love it. It has 64G internal flash memory, an
eyepiece viewer (most flash & HDD camcorders don't have this), and a super
steady shot function that you'd swear was on a tripod at 10x. I use the
camcorder primarily while hiking, and I must say . it fits my requirements
perfectly.

A disadvantage (of sorts) of flash memory camcorders is the AVCHD
compression. AVCHD requires a lot more CPU number crunching to either view
or edit a clip. This was the perfect excuse for me to upgrade my hardware!

I'm not clear on this- do you mean that if i have a project which was filmed
on the sony, then edited in premiere, that it would have a problem exporting
back to tape on the canon?
