Lee,

Thank you so much. I got tips from Creative Cow to make sure that my file is in
RGB and my preference has Maximize Compatibility selected as "always". And
finally it worked!
Thought the other group members would like to know in case they ran into the
same problem I had.

Sometimes these type errors are "temporary" and just trying again overcomes
a transient error. Also, assuming there is sufficient memory and that the
psd is good, something worth trying is simply copying the psd file to
another location and trying again. (I'm not familiar with "setup" parameters
enough to know whether any can actually induce importer errors.)

Subject: Re: [AP] Exporting to MPEG-2 with Premiere 6.5

Hello all,

I'm working on a project on Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. I tried to import
photoshop
.psd file but it gave me a
File Import Failure and an Error message: The importer reported a generic
error.
I'm not quite sure why this is not allowing me to import since I was able to
do
so in the past.

If anyone can shed a light on what I may have done wrong in my setup or in
the
software itself.
I have to get the project to a client and I'm sure worried that the software
is
not importing.
Best Regards,
CB
