The proper steps are to: 1. Open the media browser in Premiere 2. Drag the P2 footage into your bin. 3. Right-click on the file and modify its properties (ie. only use the audio tracks that have sound on them) prior to using it in a sequence. 4. Load in the source monitor or drag to the sequence for use. If you don’t do things in that order, you will waste a lot of time manipulating your P2 footage in the sequence.
