the file recorded is 1920x1080 HD AVC encoded m2ts file.

its the way stereoscopic 3d works in these cameras, two images on a 1920x1080 
frame side by side so until they bring out a 3840x2160 camera (one day I am 
sure) you have to make do with this "HD" version

and btw it looks surprisingly good for a domestic recording
