Fiddly but possible, you could add some thin horizontal lines of black video
(and reverse it I think) and add 'noise' to them, just for the effect and,
adjusting the opacity to suit.  Other effects (not had a real look in 5.5
yet so can't say) might be more realistic.

Tried something similar with the video-generate- 'Grid', lots of work but
provided me with what I wanted.
