Neil,

This is no problem at all with my Sony NX5.
I can record continuously until I am blue in my face.
The camera has two card slots. Say I have two 32Gb cards in the camera,
it will record
on the one card until it is full and then automatically change over to
the next. During recording
I could replace the first card and insert a new one, so when the second
one is full it will go to the
third etc. etc.
I would have eight 4Gb clips on a card.
I would copy the clips of all cards to the HDD the normal way via the
Sony program and
they would be stitched to one continuous long file without loosing a
single frame. I can then import
this ONE file into Premiere.
The software also copies the relevant Meta data to the computer.

I feel the clips should be stitched when they are copied to the computer
and not in any
editing software.

Enough for today, it is bedtime in this part of the world.

Uwe

Hmmm.. As Uwe says, best keep clear of, or make sure your workflow is
edited in real time for the cards, IE make sure the 4GB limit isn't
reached while doing something critical like interviewing or similar.
Pause-pause usually takes care of that as long as nothing interesting is
going on at the time... Why can't these guys keep everything 'standard'?
