so...
trying to create a new project. in the scratch disk tab we set the
captured video/audio & the previews to the secondary hard drive (drive E) (1 TB
internal drive) and also the "Location: to E. the first 2 were pointing to a
folder on E, the Location to a different folder on E.
when trying to "OK" this & continue, we keep getting the following error:

The scratch disks are write-protected or unavailable. To open this project, the
scratch disks will be to your "My Documents" folder.Would you like to continue?

ummm- no we would not like to continue!
we know not to have all this on the system drive (C).
also- we are not trying to "open" this project- we're attempting to create a
new project.

i did a little googling and some said it's a WIN7 error?
any thoughts?

System specs:
Dell Studio XPS with the i7 processor, 12 GB Ram, Win 7 64-bit OS,
500 GB system drive, 2nd internal 1 TB drive, available large USB drives.

thanks in advance,
                    Adriane & William

p.s. Hi Lee!
