The easiest thing would be to find another violinist and guitarist to perform
the music, and do a contract then which includes sections on video and internet
rights.
This composer owns the rights to the music.
Why so many songs get re-issued by their original publishers with performers
other than the originals is when a contract was signed where the performers
owned copyright on their performance but the publisher owned rights to the
words and music written by people under contract to the publisher.
The original performers get to sell copies of their performance, paying a
royalty fee to the publisher for the words and music, but since their contract
didn't include exclusive performance rights the publisher is free to have
anyone they want do a new performance.
Such a fun thing where a song that you'd think would be a single item can have
three or more copyrights attached for words, music and performance. Amazing
that old recordings ever get re-issued!
