All uncompressed audio is PCM.  That is not a codec.

You should actually not have problems with Premiere playing and editing 
PCM audio.
Which version of Premiere do you use?
I remember vaguely that I had problems with files that were converted 
with Cineform
in (I think) Premiere CS4. The problem was fixed in later versions.
Where do your clips come from?
