I used to do this with 3-4 cameras and a separate audio track. Each
camera had a scratch audio track and I used that to get them as close
together on adjacent tracks of the timeline (this was in PPro 7, CS-2).
As I was doing musical performances, there was plenty of audio to test.
By muting all but 2 audio tracks, I could tell if they were far apart,
close, or ACAP (as close as possible). Eventually I got them all ACAP.
Then I cut video as I pleased and removed the unwanted pieces. Then I
muted the scratch audio, leaving only the master audio. Add titles and done.

Assuming you are working with a talking head, the audio matching should
be even easier than matching music.

There was a more complicated way to do this in PPro that simulates
cutting a multi-cam production, but I chose to go with a method that
allowed for easy mind changing, which I did frequently.

There are also software solutions that will get the tracks all together
in perfect sync.

This isn't hard, with a little practice you can get quite good at it.

Thanks,

Joe Salerno
