-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 As I see there are no formats for saving gamedata like map layouts, item descriptions, characters or dialogs specified at the moment. So what about using an SQL database instead of plain text files?
I think SQL might provide an better performance than the plain text sollution, as it is heavily optimized for the task of finding and providing the data needed. On the other hand a remote database might be an good option for doing colaborative work on the game designers side. Also for example an postgreSQL server can easily be embedded into the application. So there would be no problems when installing the application on the end-user side. - - sonium -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFELNyJfsiT10svtOsRAveNAJ9VIhPHxArdQlCjCxFHNkNlnpEQyACfRYuQ x0oUiPAL8GsdKyJxYgSYG0I= =0L3u -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Adonthell-devel mailing list Adonthell-devel@nongnu.org http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/adonthell-devel
