Hi all , Again me . i inserted 20 vols. ACSLS labels volumes. issued command checkin libvol stk9710 search=yes status=scratch checklabel=barcode all scratch volumes including the volumes used by other volumes checked in as a scratch. TSM started writing data on Thise volumes. i want to remove volumes used by other application from TSM inventory. telnet to TSM server created a file containg scratch volumes name . vol.log ftp to sun systems / directory. the command i know to remove these volumes is chekout libvol stk9710 (MEDxxx) checklabel=no remove=no. so that volumes will be in the library and can be used by veritas or HP. question 1. where in command chekout libvol stk9710 (MEDxxx) checklabel=no remove=no i can specify the file name which contains scratch volumes list to be removed from TSM inventory . TSM server on AIX 433 . so that i can remove all volumes once. and not one by one. i was trying : tsm: TSM>checkout libvol stk9710 /vol.log checklabel=no remove=no Session established with server TSM: AIX-RS/6000 Server Version 3, Release 7, Level 2.0 Server date/time: 08/18/00 12:14:59 Last access: 08/18/00 11:53:16 ANR8433E CHECKOUT LIBVOLUME: Volume /VOL.LOG is not present in library STK9710. second thing since i have done collacate=on every week TSM goes no scratch volume availabel. since only 6GB database is backing up everynight , as other is by veritas , we are in process in migration from veritas to TSM all 120 clients. and i am adding 20 tapes every week , they all goes private , and again No scratch volumes?
