We use the internal 8mm drive;  since we need a librarian for the DRM pool,
they just make daily rounds, so the OS mksysb tape goes offsite along with
the daily DRM pulls.

On the subject of Solaris, all OS CD's are bootable, so it's not such a
stretch to use that to get started with a TSM restore... just not as elegant
as the TKG solution.

BTW, we've heard TKG also has a Win2k solution in the works;  these folks
may quickly become the place to go for full-server rebuild product.

  AIX mksysb dailly rotation ? how you are doing this? using DLT`(from
tivoli)
  or 4mm or 8mm tape drive  attched to RS/6000 box?
