Yep! I have seen this too. I used the defaults when registering the clients
and thus the clients had no authorization to delete backup data! Use the
BACKDELETE=YES when registering a Oracle client node!
Kindest regards,

Subject: Oracle RMAN not deleting backups

Hello TSM'ers,

Has anyone else come across the situation where Oracle RMAN is not deleting
backups from the TSM server?

The DBA's go through the process using RMAN, and it reports it has deleted
the backups succesfully, but they are not actually being removed from the
TSM server.

Thanks,

Matt.
