Gerhard,

I'm seeing the same behavior on my system. I haven't timed it so I don't know
how long it takes, but querying the DB / log status immediately after a DB
backup (we do mostly full backups) shows that the log hasn't been zeroed.
Sometime later it shows 0% utilized. We went from ADSM 3.1 to TSM. ADSM 3.1
zeroed the log immediately.

We are running TSM 4.1.2.0 on AIX 4.3.3.

Subject: Recovery Log not reset after Incr. DB backup

Hi,
I frequently observe that the recovery log utilization is not reset
immediately after a full or incremental DB backup. It happens much later,
eg. 30 or 40 minutes after the backup finished. The last cases I watched no
sessions or processes were active after the backup finished. I opened a PMR
for this case. Has anyone else seen the problem?
My server is TSM 4.1.2.0 on AIX 4.3.3.
Best regards
Gerhard
