Finally got some feedback from the node server owner and it explains what is going on. This is his comment but I am about to tell him he is wrong since the current active session has only backed up 30GB.
*Looks like a single 8.1 TB file caused an error. I started a manual backup of that file and its been running all day.* Of course, how does he backup such a file is the TSM server disk LZ is 8.8TB total with 95% used?
