I have many 3490E tapes that we used before for backup and archive in MVS system. The system is phased-out and I want to use those tapes in our ADSM for additional media storage. Right now, i used 3590 tapes and 3590/B1A drives in IBM 3494 library. Shall i utilise those 3490E tapes in our ADSM with 3590/B1A drives?
