I take it to mean that any given FILE on the SAN device can be written to by only one client at a time, but that many files (up to the MOUNTLIMIT parameter) can be written to at once, meaning the maximum number of clients writing simultaenously to the SAN device is equal to the MOUNTLIMIT parameter in your FILE device class.
