Another problem I had with the LM was by default the @&#^$# thing added a
route for my subnet to the default gateway. SO, as long as the address was
outside of my subnet, I could talk to it. If it was on the same subnet
(which was where my TSM server was located) then it was being sent to the
default gateway and I wasn't communicating. I found it by looking at the
routine table on the OS/2 LM. netstat -r is the command I believe. I did a
route delete and it was OK until the next time the LM was restarted. Finally
found the configuration problem when I went in and viewed the TCPIP
configuration dialog. There was a check box that I had to un-check. And
don't ask me which option this was....the mind is the 2nd thing to go with
age!

IF your routing on the ATL's pc isn't right, you can see a message such as
that.
(that is if you are using tcp/ip communication method)
or if that specific host for some reason got wiped from your list of LAN
hosts
(that is if you are using tcp/ip communication method)
If you are using the RS232 connection, then maybe the port on the artic card
is defined incorrectly ?

Subject: Library offline to host

Can anyone suggest a place to look when I get a message: library offline to
host.
I've already recycled lmcpd. I checked my lan host options and they haven't
changed.
When I attempt to communicate with the 3494 library via MTLIB commands from
my sun server I get this message.
We made a microcode change to the library over the weekend and this one
server(out of three) is now not communicating with the library.
two other sun servers are not having any problems via mtlib or thru TSM.
