Hi TSM'ers, having an IBM H70 I could do the following: 1. Install AIX5L 2. Install the corresponding AIX5l-TSM-Server-64bit 3. Install the corresponding AIX5L-TSM-Client-64bit ( OR the corresponding AIX433-TSM-Client-32bit ? ) AND install the corresponding AIX433-TSM-AFS-Client-32bit
Reasoning: I have to use the TSM-AFS-client on the same H70 because the AFS-HOME_directories are driven by HP-UX-servers and I want to use the "COMMMETHOD SHAREDMemory" for efficient transfers inside the H70, i.e. an "inhouse" transfer from the AFS-Cache to the TSM-Server. I'm further restricted by the fact that the only way to backup/restore AFS-ACL's is by using a TSM-AIX-client ( NOT YET available for AIX5L ). Question: Given this setup would work, i.e. AIX433-TSM-AFS-Client-32bit on an AIX5L-TSM-server-64bit, would anyone of You go into that direction or stay on the proven grounds of 32-bit ? -- MfG / Ciao - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Peter Dümpert Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Rechenzentrum der Technischen Universität Fax : ++49/531/391-5549 D 38092 Braunschweig Tel : ++49/531/391-5535
