You must realize the Linux directories (likely) fit nicely within the available space in the TSM server,,, how do you know Linux clients ignore your DIRMC? (The only simple way I would know how to test is to create a path greater than 160 bytes -- I think the TSM db only has room for about 150 bytes or so.)
