We've done that, we've been having authority type problems as with 3.1 we
were using a seperate user to run the backups and under 4.x its not letting
this user talk over the api ... we've (almost) got it fiex using root now...

I believe this is because the directory structure of TSM changed between
versions 3.1 & 3.7 so you will have to reconfigure the db2 client.

Hi,

We have been using UDB5 backing up online to ADSM 3.1 for the last couple
of
years on AIX ... unfortuantly we've just upgraded to TSM 4.2 and UDB 7.2
and
now ir does work (PMR with IBM/Tivoli I type...) ...

so YMMV

Hi,
I know that DB2 greater then Version 5 on OS2 and Windows can be backup
from TSM. I think AS400 and AIX is also no problem.

Do all DB2 versions allow for hot backups to Tivoli? Or do you need
enterprise edition or something? Specifically I'm curious about DB2 for
workgroups on linux..
