Thanks for the suggestion.

We finally got it to work by going to an earlier V4.1 client. The user had
updated the glibc libraries to the listed acceptable level, but not the
kernel.

What does mean "every version"? v4.1, v4.2?
v4.1 should work fine while v4.2 might need update of some Linux
components.
Ask the user for kernel version, was the kernel re-compiled by him,
version of glibc&libstdc++
A wild guess - user removed libstdc++ 2.9.x and left libstdc++ 2.10

Got this from a very knowledgeable user trying to run TSM on his RedHat
Linux 6.2 box....

"Every version of dsmc I've tried keeps core dumping"

How do you diagnose and resolve this kind of problem ?
