Well... that's probably not what Robert is looking for. You want to be able
to restore the registry, no?
Robert, I don't have experience with the W2K client but I imagine that the
c:\Registry directory was created by TSM. I only use WinNT clients and they
use the c:\adsm.sys directory. Have you tried deleting c:\Registry? It will
be recreated during the next incremental.

Subject: File I/O error

I am getting a file I/O error on a 2000 client when it tries to backup the
registry. Specifically when the TSM Scheduler runs, the error in the log
is:

06/17/2002 02:19:09 ANS1228E Sending of object '\\rightcad01\c$' failed

06/17/2002 02:19:09 ANS4023E Error processing '\\rightcad01\c$': file
input/output error

When a manual backup is run, it is the "C$\registry" that is causing the
error.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
