Chris, Actually it is recommended that you use a separate and unique node name for TDP for Oracle on the same workstation and define a unique policy domain for Oracle node names. The Oracle backups can then be bound to the default management class within this domain. For example, your regular domain is RS6K which you have with your policy sets corresponding to your OS data by dept. or whatever company policies or procedures you have in place. The domain for TDP for Oracle would be ORACLE6K where it would have its separate policy along with management classes, copygroups, schedules, etc.... By the way, the copy group of the management class to which Oracle backups are bound must be set as follows, VERDELETED=0 and RETONLY=0.
Hope this sheds a little light on the situation! Regards, Demetrius A.
