Is this a new/fresh install ???
if so, run
        dsmserv format 1 <yourlogfile> 1 <yourdbfile>
the log file and db file should be ones you FIRST format with the operating
system command
        dsmfmt -m -db <yourdbfile> ####
where #### is the number of MB the file should be
and
        dsmfmt -m -log <yourlogfile> ####
the dsmfmt command should reside in your install directory.

Subject: dsmserv.dsk

I have just installed 5.1 and the latest patches on an AIX server but cannot
get my server to run because of an error reading the dsmserv.dsk file.

This file was not generated. How do I generate this on the fly?

Jacque
