Option 1 would not work thus you should use option 2 or 3
3) upgrade to 5.1.1
backup db from the old box
restore on the new box

Subject: Moving to new TSM server
I will be moving to a new TSM server before too long. I was wondering
what the process should be. Should I:
1) backup DB from 4.1.4
restore DB on new box at 5.1.1.6
2) backup DB from 4.1.4
restore DB on new box at 4.1.4
upgrade TSM to 5.1.1.6
