All, I was wondering if anyone has everused this method to run backups from within SQL?
"I reckon I should be able to shell TDP command line scripts from within SQL Server using an extended stored procedures" Now, I'm no SQL guru, and I've read a little about this, and initially I can't see why it shouldn't work, as long as all the environment variables are set. So I was just wondering if ANYONE else is doing anything REMOTELY like this? Does it work? What probelm did you have, if any? All answers gratefully received.
