Consider an include exclude list naming that directory and the appropriate management class.
If this is a once-off, just edit/create the include-exclude list and fix it up later. If you plan to do this regularly, consider multiple sets of client configs (/var/tsm/primary/dsm.opt..inclexcl..dsm.sys) and (/var/tsm/alternate/dsm.opt...inclexcl...dsm.sys) Use the 'DSM_DIR' and 'DSM_CONFIG' environment variables to select which to use for a particular backup. --- export DSM_DIR=/var/tsm/alternate export DSM_CONFIG=${DSM_DIR}/dsm.opt dsmc i /path/to/special/files. --- Cheers. -----Original Message----- From: ADSM: Dist Stor Manager [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of William Goliak Sent: Thursday, 20 February 2003 7:16 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Backing up files, with multiple management classes I'm trying to get a directory backed up, not archived, with a management class that isn't the primary managment class for the node. I wanted to use an action schedule, that would call a script with 'dsmc i /directory' and a mangement class option. But, that doesn't seem to be possible with the 5.1 aix client.
