Hi, I have also been getting I/O errors on my LTO 3583 since I upgraded to V5.1.6.1 on Solaris. They generally seem to happen when the tape gets to about 95% capacity. They go to READONLY status but appear to be quite readable so I dont worry about them as they eventually expire and become scratches,
