Hi Again! Is it always hanging when you run a backup? Included when you run a manuel backup? And it´s only hangs when you use OFM?

Win 2000 has McCafee antivirus software installed, but there is no job working when TSM client hangs. You can not kill the Open File Module with a software. The only way to kill a OFM software is to reboot. That is becuse the OFM software is so deep in the software so if you should killit then should you got a blue screen. But about your problem. I have see the same problem before but with another Open File software and with another software. But there was no problem with the software. The problem was with a unique file. So if you can look in the Client log and see if the backup hangs on a specify file everytime. If it hangs on the same file all the time. Please remove that file and the backup should work fine now. I use it all the time on servers when the scheduler is stuck in a starting state.... All you need is the process number.
