David,

Data Protection for Oracle will work with your current server without
losing any functionality. However, in the manual we are required to state
the lowest server version that is in support at the time of release.

Subject: ITSM for Databases 5.2 requirements

I am going to need to use ITSM for Databases (TDP Oracle) to backup
Oracle 9.2.2 DB on Solaris 8, 64bit. The Tivoli Manual states requiremen=
ts
for TDPO 5.2 as TSM API 5.1.5 and TSM Server 5.1.0 as minimum.

However the online requirements say TSM API 5.1.5 but just says
TSM server, doesn't state a version.

Question: Does TDPO 5.2 work with my current TSM Server 4.2.3.4 on
AIX? If it works, do I loose any functionality by staying with this serv=
er?

(I will be upgrading to 5.1 or 5.2 server soon, just want to see if I
will be forced sooner).

Thanks,

David B. Longo
