Hi, for ESX, you may want to contact an certified VMWARE partner or directly an VMWARE sales representative. They can give you official information you are searching for in contrast to informations from the forum. Alternatively, contact an IBM/Tivoli sales representative.
"My" representative tells me TSM would be supported and can positively prove it works like a breeze. I am telling here about TSM ESX client (aimed to backup whole W2K instances) in contrast to TSM/W2K which obviously does not need anyting specific if run under W2K which runs under ESX in turn. regards Juraj Salak -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: rh [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Gesendet: Dienstag, 02. Does anyone know if IBM supports TSM 5.2 servers and clients running under VMware? I see on VMware's web site that IBM is a "software alliance partner" and TSM is listed as supported. I can't find any IBM site that states this as being true, or the VMware/TSM combinations that are supported or tested. I don't want to get into a situation were I will have to recreate a TSM problem in a standalone environment in order to get support. Is anybody running this combination and received support from TSM? Many thanks, Rod Hroblak ADP __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Free Pop-Up Blocker - Get it now http://companion.yahoo.com/
