Hello; I thought we were the only people on the planet using NDMP. Without knowing what version of Tivoli/OS/OnTap you are using; TSM v5.2.0.2 supports file level backup/restore. You have to use a table of contents. This info is available in the ITSM Administrators Guide v5.2 (chapter 6). Hope this helps.

This way I can reduce the impact on re-running a failed backup if something goes wrong with the tape drive. However from what I can see TSM will only backup at the node or volume level.
