Jason I've got to start by saying I know nothing about Linux so take this with a pinch of salt but...
The Generation 3 (& Generation 4?) DL380 has hyper-threading Intel processors, so each physical processor appears as two virtual processors. Your dual processor system should therefore appear as a 4-way to the operating system, unless you've disabled hyper-threading in the hardware. I don't know whether there's anything you have to do to enable support for hyper-threading in your version of Linux. Regards Neil Schofield Yorkshire Water Services Ltd.
