Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but you created the file with a different name: D:\tsmdata\server1\extrareclogspace whereas the server looks for it in the directory from which you started the dsmserv command: > ANR9969E Unable to open volume C:\PROGRAM > FILES\TIVOLI\TSM\SERVER1\EXTRAREECLOGSPACE.
